Project Summary

Tattoo design to commemorate an Ironman triathlon finish. It’s customary for some people who accomplish this feat to get a tattoo on their calf, typically of the Ironman branded “M-dot” logo and sometimes with a nod to the particular region the race took place. This piece was designed as a non-traditional expression of the accomplishment by making more prominent the elemental symbol for iron, and characterizing the region (in this case Arizona) with a lizard dressed in armor.
